Cawker & Young Outfitting Ltd. offers unguided canoe trips on the Kazan River in Canada's Nunavut Territory. The Kazan River is one of Canada's heritage rivers that flows from Ennadai Lake (where our lodge and airstrip are located), through the heartland of the barren lands, North to Angikuni Lake and finally out to Hudson Bay.

Our outfitting area (see maps) includes Ennadai Lake, Angikuni Lake, and the Kazan River which joins these two lakes. It is an area that is rich in wildlife, birdlife, and fish. Over the centuries the Inuit people that inhabited this land have left subtle clues to their existence in the form of inukshuks (messages), tent rings, and hunting blinds, which should not go unnoticed. Your canoeing experience will take you from tree-lined esker country at Ennadai Lake, through gently rolling barren lands, to rocky outcroppings of the Precambrian Shield on Angikuni Lake where you will be picked up with our float plane.
